The creator of the CryptoDriver is a team of 1 person who has had a passion for car racing for as long as
I can remember. It started when I was watching F1 GP with my father on the Sundays' afternoon on the living room sofa.
Since then I always had the flame either in the back of my mind or in the very forefront of my thoughts like when
I decided to gear my life and career into that direction, not as a driver, but as an engineer. I went as far as being a
padawan car engineer for a team that I won't name at the Le Mans 24h early in the 21st century. Unfortunately, my race
engineering career stopped there, as I had a pretty rough experience, not only on the human level but also on the
technical side of things. Sadly I realized that it was not a good fit for me or more so I wasn't a good fit for it.
During all these years though, I built my knowledge and passion for racing history from the 50s to the 90s, mainly
focused on F1 I must confess, though any category would do it, and I ended up in the right seat of a modest rally
car in the late 90s.
The kids racing nowadays are quite entertaining I must say but I still focused my CryptoDrivers on what is now called
"classic racing".
"Classic racing"! A period of time that I am exploring with SimRacing. As much as I was not attracted to be a race driver, I must say that SimRacing does it for
me. I litterally time travel and as much as I enjoyed the struggle of Grand Prix Legend with the 1st and basic red rimmed Logitech
FFB, I enjoy so much more the struggle of modern simulators and rigs. Not that I am an alien driver, far from it,
but the experience is just phenomenal to me and totally rekindled my fascination with the early decades of modern racing.
I started in VR with PC2, then discovered the power of AC mods, and these days I also am often on AMS2.
I am also fascinated by cryptocurrencies, and very intrigued by NFTs. As I browsed through many projects and series, I never
saw any collection catering to the racing fans community, and decided to create one that would embody the mindset of my favorite eras. I
also wanted something deeper than just random picture, and eventhough the CryptoDrivers are randomly generated, the base graphics are inspired from real life racing. Browsing through the CryptoDrviers and their metadata
should have you think, check, link the details to motorsport history.
The CryptoDrivers were made by a car racing fan, for other car racing fans to enjoy! So I hope you enjoy every one of them!
